WE'RE ALL ODD HERE.
Author, Publisher, & Serial Entrepreneur
"Where is fancy bred? In the heart or in the head?"
As an expert on all things Gilmore Girls, and a deep love for a good zombie thriller, Peggy has published several novels through small and medium presses, in addition to some self-published titles. In 2015, Peggy founded a subscription box business geared towards readers. What started as a tiny Kickstarter, later flourished into a full-fledged community and fandom brand. In just over a year Peggy took a few thousand dollars from the Kickstarter and turned it into a million-dollar-a-year business. What she is most proud of, though, is the wonderful community of readers and fangirls she fostered during that time.
Armed with her knowledge and experience in publishing, running a booming business, building an online community, and utilizing innovative marketing methods, Peggy and One Odd Bird Press aim to bring a much needed breath of fresh air to the publishing industry.
"I’m a reader first and foremost. A writer because only when I’m writing (or reading) am I able to “quiet” my mind and find a creative outlet. Not even in sleep do I otherwise accomplish that gargantuan task. Weird, huh? I love writing in several genres and am known to write in a genre just to see if I can pull it off.
I am a mom to five wonderful offspring who I feel are my greatest accomplishments. Creating a tiny human can be easy, but being proud of the human they grow into is indeed my badge of honor. I rarely break out in a fit of the giggles, but when I do you can almost guarantee what set me off was likely something others wouldn’t find quite as funny, or something entirely inappropriate and my insomnia could be blamed. After such an outburst, I giggle at odd moments throughout the rest of the day.
I love to bake, grow herbs, watch Asian and Turkish dramas, and I re-read Jane Eyre every year. Some of my other obsessions include: hoarding lip glosses, learning languages, fixating on numbers and number patterns, sampling tons of loose leaf teas, and collecting tons of edition of classics I enjoy reading.
It is what it is."
& INDIE PUBLISHER
I have written and published several books in many different genres and still have a plethora of stories to tell. I love the potential of a blank sheet of paper and a new set of pens.
I've been working on several non-fiction titles the past few years. My first title (shown above) will release later in 2020. I have a book for entrepreneurs coming in 2020 as well.
